Kristen Stewart Passed Over For Big Movie Role?

Kristen Stewart is apparently out of the running to play the female lead in the much-anticipated American version of “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.”

The role of Lisbeth Salander is a juicy role in what is sure to be a high-profile project, and every young actress in Hollywood is positively salivating to play the part. K-Stew was considered by many to be perfect actress for the tough, brainy heroine, and was indeed long rumored to be in serious contention to land the role.

But something happened along the way, and Stewart is no longer on the list. Recent Oscar-nominee Carey Mulligan, another rumored contender, has also recently declared that she is also no longer in the running.

Other names that are reportedly still high on the list are Natalie Portman, Mia Wasikowska (“Alice in Wonderland”) and, our favorite actress for the part, Ellen Page.

As for Stewart, she’ll have to be happy with playing Marylou, the female lead in the big-screen version of Jack Kerouac’s classic “On the Road.” And, of course, Bella in “Breaking Dawn,” which begins filming in the fall.

The Breaking Dawn movie release date is circled on every Twilight calendar. Once the Breaking Dawn movie release date arrives – both of them – the Breaking Dawn movie will finally bring an end to Twilight. The book series is already over, at least in its original incarnation. With Eclipse finally here, Twilight fanatics will soon have to come to terms with the movie series nearing an end as well. There will only be two more chances to see Bella, Edward and Jacob on the big screen, starting with the first Breaking Dawn movie release date on November 2011.

After every Twilight movie, the countdown begins to the next one in no time. But, after Eclipse, there is only one story left in the series to adapt. Fortunately for fans, too much happens to limit it to one film, and so it is being split into two parts.

According to Reuters, the Breaking Dawn movie release date is on Nov. 18, 2011 – but that is only for part one. Just like the end of Harry Potter, the final novel has been split into two films. However, Part 2′s release has not been determined yet, though it will likely be sometime in summer 2012.

The wait for the Breaking Dawn movie release date is the longest for a Twilight film. New Moon was released exactly a year after Twilight, while Eclipse came out just seven months later. Heading toward the Breaking Dawn movie release date, even Twilight haters are wondering how many of the wildest scenes will be in the film.

If they film the novel as is, it will be nearly impossible to get a PG-13 rating – which would keep much of the core audience away. As such, new director Bill Condon will have to make some hard cuts, although fans who hated the book likely wouldn’t mind.

Stewart eyeing West End role

KRISTEN STEWART is hoping to swap Hollywood for the London stage – the TWILIGHT actress has met with producers in a bid to find a West End role, according to reports.

The 20 year old is said to be planning to head to Britain once she finishes work on her upcoming movies, which include the vampire franchise’s two-part conclusion The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and On the Road, with Kirsten Dunst.

Stewart has met with famed West End producer, David Pugh, who worked with Daniel Radcliffe on Equus, to discuss a list of possible plays, according to Deadline.com.

The Daily Mail reports Stewart has yet to make a decision on a production to launch her theatre career.

Kristen Stewart Weighs In On ‘Wanted 2′ Rumors

In late April, rumors began surfacing online that “Twilight Saga” star Kristen Stewart was in the running for the role originated by Angelina Jolie in “Wanted 2.” The story was that Stewart is director Timur Bekmambetov’s top choice to replace Jolie in the sequel, pitting her against the returning James McAvoy as reluctant assassin Wesley Gibson. If hired, Stewart would play “a young, ass-kicking assassin in the Fraternity.”

While much has been hush-hush about the speculation since it was initially reported, the star is now speaking up about the casting talk, saying that nothing is set in stone yet.

“Right now, I have two projects lined up,” Stewart told Moviehole.net. “I’m doing ‘On the Road’ this summer and then I’m doing ‘Breaking Dawn.’ So other than that I have nothing nailed down.”

Megan Fox and Kristen Stewart have been reported to be in running for the role of Angelina Jolie for the movie “Wanted 2″. It is reported that Angelina Jolie has been chucked from the sequel of Wanted and now both the new divas Megan Fox and Kristen Stewart are being considered for her role.

The role requires the woman to be a sexy siren along with good acting skills. And its because of her lack of acting skills Megan Fox is falling a little short in meeting the demands of this role. Though she makes up more than enough with her oomph. However the directors of “Wanted 2″ wanted a fresh face who can pull off the role. Kristen Stewart is now being considered more seriously for the role and if it works out then Kristen will be seen replacing Angelina Jolie in the movie.

Kristen Stewart, Welcome to the Rileys Debuts in Fall

“Welcome to the Rileys,” the indie film featuring Kristen Stewart as a down-and-out teen alongside James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo, has locked up a distribution deal that will likely mean a fall release.

The Jake Scott-directed Ken Hixon-written drama was picked up by Sony Worldwide Acquisitions Group, which acquired the domestic distribution rights and is considering a fall release, according to Deadlinehollywood’s Nikki Finke

The film made premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and had an obvious market among “Twilight fans,” who adore Stewart. They reportedly campaign to get the film into theaters, according to Finke.

The movie was recently screened at the Berlin Film Festival. It received only a luke-warm reception from critics, but Stewart, Leo and James Gandolfini have been praised for their performances.

For her part, Stewart is protective of the film and the character. “I’m not playing a stripper,” she told reporters before the film’s screening. “My character — basically nothing belongs to her. She’s an open sore.”

“It’s really not a stripper movie at all. It sort of just opens your eyes about people that don’t have options.”

Gandolfini and Leo play a couple whose marriage becomes a wreck following the death of their teenage daughter. On a business trip to New Orleans, Riley finds himself drawn to Stewart’s character Mallory, a foul-mouthed, pot-smoking, over-sexed prostitute.

Riley sees her as a surrogate for his own daughter, who was 15 when she died. Riley’s wife, (Leo) overcomes her grief and paranoia and agrees to take Mallory in.

Stewart’s other indie projects include “Adventureland” in 2009, “What Just Happened” and “The Yellow Hankerchief” in 2008. Her latest film, “The Runaways,” a bio pic about 70s rocker Joan Jett, with Dakota Fanning, opens in theaters March 19.
