In late April, rumors began surfacing online that “Twilight Saga” star Kristen Stewart was in the running for the role originated by Angelina Jolie in “Wanted 2.” The story was that Stewart is director Timur Bekmambetov’s top choice to replace Jolie in the sequel, pitting her against the returning James McAvoy as reluctant assassin Wesley Gibson. If hired, Stewart would play “a young, ass-kicking assassin in the Fraternity.”
While much has been hush-hush about the speculation since it was initially reported, the star is now speaking up about the casting talk, saying that nothing is set in stone yet.
“Right now, I have two projects lined up,” Stewart told Moviehole.net. “I’m doing ‘On the Road’ this summer and then I’m doing ‘Breaking Dawn.’ So other than that I have nothing nailed down.”
